However, in real-world threat models, coercion and rubber-hose cryptanalysis remain significant vulnerabilities.

DIEGOX is an open-source Rust application designed to solve both problems simultaneously: protecting data against future quantum decryption while offering plausible deniability under physical pressure.

👁️ How the Dual-KEM Decoy System Works

Instead of a standard single-payload vault, DIEGOX structures its encrypted output using a Chameleon architecture featuring two slots within one file container:

The Real Vault (Alpha Slot): Decrypted only via the main passphrase.

The Decoy Vault (Beta Slot): Decrypted via a secondary passphrase, exposing plausible dummy data.

Because of how the Dual-KEM structure formats the underlying ciphertext, an adversary analyzing the file cannot distinguish whether it contains one or two slots, preserving full plausible deniability.

🔬 Under the Hood

Lattice-Based Encryption: Implements Learning With Errors (LWE) to remain secure in a post-quantum computing landscape.

Key Derivation: Argon2id parameters designed to neutralize GPU/ASIC acceleration during brute-force attempts.

Native GUI: Developed using
eframe
and
egui
for a lightweight, cross-platform Cyberpunk interface.

🔗 Links & Testing

DIEGOX is currently in pre-release (
v0.1.1
) and open for community testing and security feedback.
